Stake experts introduces the CSO Conflict Mitigation #Fellowship Program

In January 2025, the development and conflict mitigation world abruptly changed for many grassroots associations and civil society organizations (CSOs) working on conflict mitigation. In coastal West Africa and the Sahel, this translated into intensified institutional stress for CSOs, many of whom were unprepared to face a sudden need for new strategic partners.
Stake experts have operated in the region's CSO-led conflict mitigation space for over 5 years. While being a for-profit organization, we formed strong bonds with like-minded CSO leaders and impressive professionals as we strived to support them through research-grounded and evidence-based conflict mitigation in countries like Benin, Togo, and Burkina Faso. Thus, we organically coalesced in a community of West African CSO-led conflict mitigation practitioners. As change is striking, now is the time for that community to embrace uncertainties and look beyond.
This is why Stake experts is introducing the CSO Conflict Mitigation Fellowship Program. This program aims to foster institutional stability of West African CSOs operating in Conflict Mitigation by offering their leaders and key programs personnel short-term — 3 months — fellowships where they will embed with the team and build their program design capabilities for competitiveness and sustainability. To achieve this during the timespan of each fellowship, we offer our fellows the following two features that we think match the urgency of building our above-stated goal:
Pro-bono consultancy in setting up a grants monitoring system and competently assessing the suitability of their organizations to grants from different partners
Pro-bono coaching, writing grant applications, and review services for an unlimited number of projects during the timespan of their fellowship.
